A day at the spa without leaving the house

We all know just how important it is to invest in amazing skincare products and in effective facial treatments. We also know that professional treatments are highly expensive and that a day at the spa would not be exactly affordable for us, commoners. Instead of envying those women who can afford to get expensive treatments, you should get to work and create your own spa. There are plenty of products you have in your pantry, which you could mix together in order to make incredibly effective masks and treatments. Add some scented candles, ambient music and a glass of wine and you are all set for a day at the spa without leaving the house.

  1. Hair treatment

Don’t you just hate women with perfect hair, who seem to have been born with it and make no effort in keeping it looking absolutely fabulous? Your hair takes a lot of heat on a regular basis, and that is exactly why you should give it a bit of special care. Thankfully, we have the perfect mask for deteriorated, dry and dyed hair. All you have to do is mix about 30 ml of castor oil with 10 ml of vitamin A and 10 ml of vitamin E. You can also add some lemon zest (for vitamin C) and even some coconut oil. You can pour this mixture into an empty spray container and spray it on your hair. Let the mask work for about a half an hour or even more (none of the ingredients are damaging) and then rinse it with warm water.

2. Face mask

A day at the spa would be incomplete without a face mask, right? Instead of buying face masks that are filled with chemicals and God knows what else, you can make your own mask with a few ingredients that are easy to find and that you probably already have lying around the kitchen. This face treatment is really easy to make. All you need to do is mix the zest from a lemon with two tablespoons of honey, an egg white and two tablespoons of Greek yogurt. Apply this mixture on your face, let it work for about 15 minutes and then rinse it with warm water. Of Course, you can also put two cucumber slices on your eyes for a true spa experience.

3. Scrub

No spa treatment would be complete without a proper scrub, to rid your skin of dead skin cells and to make it look and feel absolutely amazing. What you probably didn’t know yet is the fact that there are plenty of ways to do this at home. For instance, for your face you could mix some ground coffee with a bit of honey. You can even replace the coffee with corn flour. It may not look pretty, but it really does the trick and it is 100% natural. Now, if you want a full body scrub, you can mix some brown sugar with coconut oil, until you create some kind of a paste. I can assure you that this will work wonders.
