Some people are simply blessed with the gift of meticulous organization. Others are blessed with the gift of a personal assistant. If you lack both the innate skills and the extra cash to spend on hiring someone with them, organizing your life seems like a fruitless effort. Part of the solution of an ever growing, never ending to-do list is to declutter your mind. It can get chaotic trying to manage your busy life, but you don’t have to do it all on your own with the help of these apps. Who needs to pay an assistant to do everything for you, when all of these apps are free?

Mail Time

The Mail Time app organizes all your emails for you. Instead of displaying each individual message in a list, the app converts them into text message format. This way there’s no emails lost in an unmanageable pile and there’s no confusion over when the message was received and by who.

Cold Turkey

Part of the issue with getting your schedule and life in check is staying focused on the task at hand. That just doesn’t happen when Twitter and Instagram are calling your name. Cold Turkey takes care of that by blocking certain sites and apps at times specified by you.

If This Then That (IFTTT)

This app is essentially an assistant in your phone. Using IFTTT, you can save yourself time and effort by automating your phone to do a plethora of actions. You can even set it to send a text to your friends on their birthdays, just in case it slipped your mind. It happens to the best of us.

24me

Your calendar, to-do list, and notes don’t amount to much alone if you forget to check them daily. 24me combines these apps to send you reminders to take care of business.

Sometimes just listing out what you need to do isn’t enough. Wunderlist takes task management to the next level. You can share lists with friends, family, classmates, or coworkers to have conversations about them and to delegate tasks.

Timeful

There’s more to life than work and school, everyone needs time to unwind and goof off. If you’re feeling overwhelmed and stressed out, try out Timeful. It uses your calendar and the appointments you set to help you find time to do what you actually want to do. Besides that, it suggests times when you could get things done.
